A stunning opening ride by our new signing, Rourke Croeser in the first UCI marathon
race in South Africa this weekend saw the Under 23 rider finish 18th in a strong
field including Cape Epic regulars Karl Platt and Stefan Sahm.
Rourke got straight to business getting in the lead group before a puncture after
60km meant he had to chase hard to regain contact with the group. This proved a
little too much and he dropped back with 25km remaining but still finsihing an impressive
18th place!
