Our two first year Juinor riders took themselves off to the latest round of the
Gorrick series at Tunnel Hill for some quality racing in preperation for the jump
up in category this year.
Both riders have made the transition from Youth to Junior, which not only carries
an extra lap of racing but has the pace of the Elite field to go with it!
Both Nat and Ben started the race in the Sport category, normally for riders between
19 and 29 years old but as they wanted some extra competition they opted for the
harder race.
Both riders got a good start and it was soon clear that Ben meant business as he
took the race by the scruff of the neck and really put the hammer down, leading
the race by nearly half a minute after lap 2.
As the race entered the fourth and final lap Ben was still leading but the gap had
been narrowed and the last lap took its toll as he eventually finished in a very
creditable 2nd spot.
After a good start, Nat ran into difficulties and only managed 2 laps before being
forced to retire from the race.
